A Cocktail For Disaster – Drink And Drive

Driving whilst under the influence of alcohol can be a disaster ending in major injury or death. That is the message in a new Drink Driving campaign by car rental company Six Rent-A-Car.

Their video entitled, ‘A Cocktail For Disaster’ is nothing grand as far as videos are concerned, but it does put across the one simple message Don’t Drink And Drive!

Their website has sections on safer driving, and explains the aim of the campaign about alcohol and driving:

‘Our aim is to provide our customers and the wider public with a much clearer understanding of the true dangers involved with mixing alcohol and driving, as well as explaining in detail the limits, the laws, and the effects that alcohol can have on the body.’

It provides factual information with regard to the alcohol limits applicable in law that drivers MUST be aware of.

But their advice is quite simply:

‘The effects of alcohol can depend on so many different factors that one can never truly judge how badly they have been affected. Once alcohol has entered your system your motor system will be slowed, causing a delay in reaction time and judgement.

We have a clear stance: Alcohol and driving should not be mixed.’
